ਗੁਰੁ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
ਗੁਰੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਗੁਰ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਣਹਾਰੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚੀ ਸੋਇ ॥
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਕੀਤਾ ਲੋੜੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
The Guru is All-powerful, the Guru is infinite. By great good fortune, the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is obtained. The Guru is imperceptible, immaculate and pure. There is no other as great as the almighty Guru. The Guru is the Creator, the Guru is the Doer. The Gurmukh obtains the true Glory. Nothing is beyond the Guru; whatever He wishes comes to pass. ||2|| (SGGS, Ang 52)
ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਈ ਸਗਲੇ ਜੁਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੪॥੧੧॥
The glorious greatness of GURU NANAK is manifest, throughout all the ages. || 4 || 11 ||

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
O Nanak, Blessed and Great is the True Guru, through whom the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is received.

I am a sacrifice to the Image of the True Guru. My inner being is filled with a great thirst, like that of the song-bird for water.
When shall I find the fruitful Vision of His Darshan? || 1 || Pause || He is the Master of the masterless, the Cherisher of all. He is the Lover of the devotees of His Name. That mortal, whom no one can protect, You bless him with Your Support, O Lord. || 1 || Support of the unsupported, Saving Grace of the unsaved, Home of the homeless. Wherever I go in the ten directions, You are there with me. The only occupation I have is singing the Kirtan of Your Praises (of your Name). || 2 || From Your Oneness, You become tens of thousands, and from tens of thousands, You become One. I cannot describe Your state and extent. You are Infinite, Your value cannot be appraised. Everything I see is Your play. || 3 || I speak with the Company of the Holy. I am in love with the Holy people of the Lord. Servant Nanak has found the Lord through the Guru’s Teachings. Please bless me
with Your Blessed Vision. O Lord, my mind yearns for it. || 4 || 1 ||

Everyone, all over the world, longs for the True Guru. Without
the good fortune of destiny, the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is not obtained.

The filth of birth and death is washed away, and one is uplifted, beholding the Blessed Vision of the Guru’s Darshan. || 2 ||

O my True Guru, I am a sacrifice to You. I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. By the Pleasure of Your Will, You have blessed me with the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord. || 1 ||

By the Lord’s Command, they behold the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. Wherever He sends them, there they will go. By His Command, the Lord, Har (God), Har (God), abides within our minds; by His Command we merge in the Truth. || 5||

O Lord, please fulfill my desires. Grant me the Blessed Vision of Your
Darshan, O Giver of Peace. Please, take me into Your Embrace. || 15 || I have not found any other as Great as You. You pervade the continents, the worlds and the nether regions; You are permeating all places and interspaces. Nanak: You are the
True Support of Your devotees. || 16 ||

O servants of the Lord, O Saints, O my Siblings of Destiny, let us join
together! Show me the way to my Lord God - I am so in longing for Him! Please reward my faith, O Life of the World, O Great Giver.
Obtaining the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan, my mind is fulfilled. || 1 ||

The True Guru, the Giver, has implanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within me. By great good fortune, I have obtained the Blessed Vision of
the Guru’s Darshan. The True Essence is Ambrosial Nectar; through the Ambrosial Words of the Perfect Guru, this Amrit is obtained. || 3 ||

My mind longs for the Blessed Vision of the Guru’s Darshan. It cries out like the thirsty song-bird. My thirst is not quenched,
and I can find no peace, without the Blessed Vision of the Beloved Saint. || 1 || I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to the Blessed Vision of the Beloved Saint Guru. || 1 ||

I have searched and searched, seeking the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. I travelled
through all sorts of woods and forests. My dear Lord, Har, Har, God, God is both absolute and relative, unmanifest and manifest. Is there anyone who can bring me back and to unite me with Him? || 1 ||

The body-temple is sanctified by the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan,
and thus, theimpregnable fort of the soul is conquered.
You are the Giver, You are the Architect of Karma (destiny). There is no other warrior as
great as You. || 3 || I applied the dust of the feet of the Saints to my face.
My evil-mindedness disappeared, along with my misfortune and false-mindedness.
I am sitting now in the True home of my Self (Him).
I sing His Glorious Praises. O Nanak, my falsehood has vanished! || 4 || 11 ||18 ||

Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan,
all are sanctified and all family and friends are saved.
By Guru’s Grace, I meditate on the Inaccessible and Unfathomable True Lord. || 2 ||
The One, the Guru, who is sought by all, only a few, by great good fortune, receive His Darshan. His Place is lofty, infinite and unfathomable.
The True Guru has shown me that palace. || 3 ||

The Word of Your Bani, Lord, is Ambrosial Nectar.
Hearing it again and again, I am elevated to the supreme heights.
The burning within me has been extinguished, and my mind has been cooled and soothed,

Guru Angad Dev (1504-1552)
Er übertrug Sein eigenes Licht, das Licht von Akaal Purakh Waheguru an Lehna, Sri Guru Nanak Dev änderte Seine eigene Form... Lehna's Körper wurde Sein eigen.

Satguru Nanak Dev verfasste das Gurmukhi Alphabet, dass später von Guru Angad Dev erfolgreich verbreitet wurde. In Raag Asa, Mehla 1 in Patti Likhi, einer Bani Komposition im Siri Guru Granth Sahib (Ang 432-435), werden alle Buchstaben des Gurmukhi Alphabets unter Satguru Nanak Dev aufgeführt, zusammengestellt von Guru Arjan Dev. Als Bhai Lehna (Guru Angad Dev) hörte, wie Bhai Jodha Ji die Hymnen vom 'Asa di Var' sang, war er davon zutiefst berührt und in Ihm stieg die Sehnsucht auf, Satguru Nanak Dev persönlich zu begegnen.
Bhai Jodha Ji, lehrte Bhai Lehna Ji einige Verse von Gurbani, die er von Herzen meisterte und täglich rezitierte. Die Rezitation von Gurbani erfüllte sein Herz mit Liebe und liess in ihm die Sehnsucht enstehen, Guru Nanak Dev zu treffen.
Bhai Jodha Ji, taught Bhai Lehna Ji a few verses of Gurbani which He eagerly mastered by heart and recited them daily. The recitations filled His heart with love and further intensified His longing to meet the Guru Ji.

Bhai Paira Mokha Ji lehrte Bhai Lehna Ji das Gurmukhi lesen. Das Unterrichten und Verbreiten von Gurmukhi festigte den unabhängigen und distinktiven Charakter der Sikh Gemeinde. Gleichzeitig wurde damit verdeutlicht, dass es kein Vorrecht mehr für eine bestimmte religiöse Lehrsprache (Sanskrit), Kaste oder Religion gab. Die Botschaft Gottes, das Heilige Wort, Gurbani, sollte direkt von allen Menschen verstanden und erfahren werden können, unabhängig des sozialen Status. Guru Angad Dev gründete hierzu die erste Schule in Khadur Sahib. Mädchen und Jungen erhielten gleichberechtigt Schulunterricht. Der zweite Sikh Guru gab Bhai Bala Ji den Auftrag, die Janam Sakhi (Lebensgeschichte) von Baba Nanak zusammen zu stellen. Bhai Paira Mokha Ji unterstützte Bhai Bala Ji dabei. Laut Guru Angad Dev sollte der Mensch sich um Geist und Körper gleichermassen kümmern. Er etablierte dafür ein Fitnesstraining, das Mall Akhara genannt wurde, um die mentale und physische Gesundheit der Sikhs zu stärken. Der zweite Sikh Guru stellte die Hymnen von Satguru Nanak Dev zusammen. Guru Angad Dev Ji diente Baba Nanak mit unbeschreiblicher, selbstloser Liebe und Hingabe. Der zweite Sikh Guru erweiterte die kommunale Freiküche, das Guru ka Langar, und wurde dabei von Seiner Ehefrau Mata Khivi Ji unterstützt.
Mata Khivi wird im Siri Guru Granth Sahib auf Ang 966/967 beschrieben:
Sagt Balwand, der Barde: Khivi, edle Seele, war wie der Baum, der Schatten aus dicken Blättern spendete. In ihrer Küche wurde reichhaltige Kost verteilt, Khir (süsser Reis) angereichert mit Ghee, der wie Amrit Elixier schmeckte. Die Gesichter der gläubigen Anhänger des Gurus wurden strahlend und hell; die Egoisten schrumpften wie Stroh. Der Meister gab seine Zustimmung, als Guru Angad sich heldenhaft einsetzte. Der von Mutter Khivi geheiratete Herr trug die Last der Erde.
Says Balwand, the bard: Khivi, noble soul, was like the tree with shade of thick leaves. In her kitchen was distributed rich fare, khir enriched with ghee tasting like Amrit elixir. The faces of the Guru's disciple became radiant and bright; the egoists shrunk like straw. The Master gave his approval when Guru Angad exerted himself heroically. Mother's Khivi wedded Lord carried the earth's burden.
Das zweite Licht von Akaal Purakh Waheguru, die zweite Form von Satguru Nanak Dev, manifest in Guru Angad Dev, übertrug die Guruschaft (Gurgadi) auf Guru Amar Das.
